POWER SYSTEM ANALYSIS
Power system analysis is one of the best subjects I’ve come across. This so because this subject has a wide scope of application and a wide scope of learning. The subject as the name suggests is based on the the analysis of the different system and parts of a power system.
The parts of a power system mainly consists of three system i.e generation transmission and distribution. The subject is divided in two parts such that both the parts will be studied by the pupils consecutively in the odd and even semesters.
The subject holds its credentials in acquainting students to the most basic yet a very vital topic of electrical engineering. The greatest advantage of this subject is that it is very helpful in knowing the basic working of certain circuit and components.
Important things :-
The main units are 2,3and 4 for both the parts of subject. Solving last year papers would be a boon as the concept of the question remains the same. Books like Gold will be helpful.
If a student is willing to take his or her training in a power plant or a substation then this subject is a must for them because it’ll help them to clear the basics of a power plant too. And this subject is not time taking. Just 3 hours a week and you will be done with the subject for a prolonged period.

There are many books for getting knowledge about the subjects such as Nagrath & Kothari, Stevenson , and in case you first require a very basic knowledge in very easy words then U.A. Bakshi is the book for you.
Hence this subject is very interesting and educative. Students will find this subject easy to understand.
